Creative Expression on Cloth
Explore making pretty, floral, fabric collages...
embellished with embroidery and hand stitching. Make into wall hangings, pillow embellishments, as part of a quilt or in a visible mending project… you can add to a cloth tote or your denim jacket... we will focus on color and design using basic stitches and appliqué.
You’ll learn the techniques and the step-by-step process! It’s all about self-expression.
STUDENTS. Use what you have. Feel free to bring fabrics and bits & bobs that you might include in your project. Things you love. A needle or two & snips.
SUPPLIES. An $8 materials fee is due directly to Nancy at the beginning of the session. A selection of supplies to bring your creation to life, will be provided for each class.
Fee payable by cash (favorite option!), Venmo, PayPal, Zelle
All the sewing and stitching is done by hand. It’s a slow stitch process.
Two hour class 10 AM-12 PM so we will start on time

| Instructor Bio: | Nancy’s art practice flows out of a curious mind and need to learn. Her daily practice includes slow-stitching, book arts, collage, drawing, Gelli printing and more! She has taught/teaches arts & crafts, printmaking, book arts, art journaling, hand stitching and graphic design. She has done art residencies in France, Morocco, Twenty-Nine Palms and Los Angeles. She is an Expressive Art Therapy coach and a Soul Collage facilitator and co-founded Art Lounge, in Encinitas CA. She’s a member and former publications Chair of SDBA (San Diego Book Arts).
